In this blog, you’ll find all the information you need to make this gorgeous Savannah Bucket Hat including an option to upgrade to a 10 page PDF.
Yarn & Alternatives
Stylecraft Savannah comes in six different colourways, I have used shade Canyon 3794.
Alternative Yarn Suggestions
If you want to raid your stash or use an alternative yarn, here are a few that I recommend:
Pattern Notes
- Written in UK terms but switchable to US terms below, or CLICK HERE for a free conversion chart.
- This pattern is worked in an amigurumi style in rounds without joining unless otherwise stated.
- Whilst the pattern is split into sections, you will not be fastening off your yarn.
- When adding a new ball of yarn, you may wish to unwind the first section of yarn in order to start from the coloured section.
- Move your stitch markers up with each round using the different colour stitch marker as your ‘BOR’ (Beginning of row)
Gauge & Size
- The crown will measure approx 12.5cm (5inch) after 12 rounds
- Crown diameter: 17cm (63/4inch) approx
- Sides: 69cm (2.5inch) approx. Hat circumference: 53cm (22inch) approx
- Brim depth: 8cm (31/4inch) approx
Struggle With Tension?
If you struggle with your tension and often find you are not reaching gauge I have a couple of videos to help you:
