Inspiration
This blanket consists of four sections, exploring four different stitches representing each season; spring, summer, autumn and winter. Not only are you learning how to crochet four different stitches into a blanket you can also get creative with the colours. This pattern also looks great using variegated yarn and a block colour.
The yarn used in the images below is Yarn Smiths Create DK in the following colours:
Spring: Lavender (3360)
Summer: Robins Egg (3254)
Autumn: Dusty Peach (3426)
Winter: Warm Taupe (3065)
Pattern Notes
- Written in UK terms
- Assisting video tutorials linked in the PDF
- Your main colour is the colour you don’t change throughout the pattern. You can choose a variegated yarn or as many or as few contrasting colours, check the yardage in the materials and tools for the amounts needed.
- For sections of the pattern where you are changing colour, you will not be required to fasten off the yarn when changing colour, instead, float the yarn up the side of the work. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the row.
Gauge & Size
- 104 cm (41 inch) approx. wide by 119.5cm (47 inch) high approx.
