Inspiration Behind The Blanket
When we moved into the studios at the start of 2022 we had the mammoth task of sorting out all of my crochet samples from over the years. Although it was a huge task we soon realised that we couldn’t do anything with any of the samples because they were all different shapes and sizes.
The team started a stitch inventory and we decided to have one of each sample made in the same dimensions, initially this was for aesthetic purposes so we could use them on social media and the website. However as they started to build up in the ‘thinking room’ I had the idea of joining a selection to make a patchwork blanket!

Paintbox Cotton DK is 100% cotton and can be machine-washed. It’s available in 63 beautiful shades! See below for the colours used in the blanket.
Alternative Yarn Suggestions
If you’d like to use an alternative yarn in the same/similar colours, I suggest using Paintbox Simply DK, which are very similar; however, they are a slightly different shade.
Another alternative is Style Craft Special DK in similar colours.

What yarn does this use?
I have used Paintbox Cotton DK but any DK yarn would be great for this blanket, which makes it a great stash buster.
Is it suitable for beginners?
This blanket is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills. I’d recommend starting with some of the more basic stitch blocks and then getting to the more advance ones as you gain confidence.
Are their video tutorials with this pattern?
There are no dedicated stitch tutorials, however, there are assisting videos tutorials to help you with each stitch. I’ve provided quick link to the relevant YouTube tutorials. The majority of these tutorials are available in both left and right handed versions.
