What Is a Quarter Granny Hexagon?
A Quarter Granny Hexagon is exactly what it sounds like, a traditional granny-style hexagon divided into four equal parts. The result? A neat triangle shape that slots perfectly into the corners of your modular crochet projects.

Treble Crochet(s): tr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

You are viewing this pattern in UK terms.
Chain 3 and ss to first ch to form a circle.
Row 1: 4 ch (counts as tr and 1 ch here and throughout), into ring work 3 tr, 1 ch, tr. Turn. (1 granny set, 2 tr, 2 ch sps.)
Row 2: 3 ch (counts as tr here and throughout), [tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in first ch sp, [3 tr, 1 ch, tr] in last ch-sp. Turn. (2 granny sets, 3 tr, 2 ch sps.)
Row 3: 4 ch, 3 tr in ch sp, 3 tr in next sp between granny sets, [3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in last ch sp, skip 1 st, tr in top of 3-ch. Turn. (4 granny sets, 2 tr, 2 ch sps.)

Row 4: 3 ch, tr in sp between first 2 sts, [3 tr in next sp between granny sets] to next ch sp, [3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in next ch sp, [3 tr in next sp between granny sets] to next ch sp, [3 tr, 1 ch, tr] in next ch sp. Turn. (5 granny sets, 3 tr, 2 ch sps.)
Row 5: 4 ch, 3 tr in first ch sp, [3 tr in next sp between granny sets] to ch sp, [3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr] in next ch sp, [3 tr in next sp between granny sets] to last 2 tr, skip 1 st, tr in top of 3-ch. Turn. (7 granny sets, 2 tr, 2 ch sps.)
Repeat Rows 4 and 5 until desired size.
Fasten off and sew in ends.
