This clever little shape is designed to fill the gaps at the edges of your work, giving you a polished finish and a professional look.
Ways to Use This Stitch
- Blankets: use them along the edges of hexagon blankets to straighten out the sides for a neat border.
- Shawls & Wraps: perfect for filling in edges so your shawl sits evenly on the shoulders.
- Table Runners & Place Mats: create crisp, finished edges that look polished on display.
- Wall Hangings: half hexagons help create tidy borders when working with geometric designs.
- Scarves & Snoods: especially if made with hexagon motifs; half hexagons keep the scarf even and wearable.
- Garments: useful for squaring off edges so pieces fit together neatly.
- Cushion Covers: makes joining motifs easier and create smooth edges for sewing onto pillow forms.
