  • This pattern is worked in the amigurumi style, in a spiral without slip stitching or turning chains.
  • Be sure to mark your rounds with a stitch marker.

  • Use final measurement as gauge
  • Completed Size: Height (hat measurement only) 7.5cm (3inch), Height (base of pom pom to top of hat) 10cm (4inch)

  • Stitch(s): st(s)
  • Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.
  • Back Loop Only: BLO: Working the indicated stitch into the back loop only of a stitch.
  • Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
  • Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

  • With colour A, chain 2.
  • Round 1: Starting in second ch from hook, work 4 dc.
  • Round 2: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 3 sts.
  • Round 3: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 4 sts.
  • Round 4: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 5 sts.
  • Round 5: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 6 sts.
  • Round 6: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 7 sts.
  • Round 7: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 8 sts.
  • Round 8: 2 BLOdc in next st, BLOdc in next 9 sts.

Head: Pom Pom

  • Make pom pom using cream and pom pom maker. Trim leaving tail end connected.
  • Thread one bead onto tail end and press tail across the top of the pom pom. Glue into place to create the nose.
  • Apply glue to the inside of the base of the hat. Press onto the top of the pom pom head ensuring the hat covers the hole on the top of the bead.
