Today I am sharing with you my March Crochet Birth Flowers. Each month has two birth flower options for you to choose. Each flower represents different characteristics therefore you can choose the flower which best define you or the person you are gifting the crochet flowers to. March is the month for both the Sakura (Cherry Blossom) flower and also the bright and beautiful Daffodil flower.
The first birth flower for March is the Daffodil flower. One of my all time favourite flowers of Spring, with there beautiful trumpeting golden flowers. Daffodils represent rebirth (as they appear at the end of the Winter and the beginning of Spring), new beginnings and they are also the symbol of hope. The daffodil flower is also the national symbol of Wales.
If you would like to make your own Crochet Daffodil flower. I have made a Free Crochet Flower pattern which includes a step by step written | photo tutorial and a Youtube video.
The Cherry Blossom or Sakura as it is know in Japan, is the second birth flower for March. Known to symbolize the start of Spring, renewal and the natural beauty of life. These delicate pink shortlived blooms remind us to cherish each and every moment while also to be mindful and grateful. The Cherry Blossom is also one of the National flower symbols for Japan.
