







Mini Chick Keychain Amigurumi for Easter
Learn how to crochet a very cute mini Chick Keychain Amigurumi for easter with this almost no sew easy free chick crochet pattern. This chick takes less than one hour to crochet.
This pattern is perfect for beginners that want to learn how to crochet cute Amigurumi stuffed animals. It has a full video included to help you with every step in creating this cute chick for easter.
You might have noticed there is another similar chick pattern on this blog, that one is much bigger then this keychain sized chick. I thought it would be nice to have one that I could use as a keychain, or hang on a car rear mirror.
This is an almost no sew crochet pattern, the only part that you need to sew on are the little feet.
This chick pattern is suitable for any yarn:
You can use any yarn to create this cute chick, because it is so small it is great pattern for leftover yarn.
Size finished mini chick when made for Sport Weight Cotton yarn: 4 cm / 2 inch

These are the materials that I used. However, feel free to replace them with other materials of your choice. Furthermore, if you wish to crochet a larger or smaller version of this toy plushie using this free Chick Keychain amigurumi crochet pattern, you can simply use a thicker or thinner yarn and crochet hook.
Cotton Sport Weight version 4 cm / 2 inch:

TIP: Are you using are using Blanket yarn? Then I recommend a 8 mm crochet hook.

Free Chick Crochet Pattern
Wing 2x:
- Use yellow yarn
- Fasten off with a slst.
Body:
- Use yellow yarn
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12)
- Rnd 3: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (18)
- Rnd 4: (sc in next 2 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (24)
- Rnd 5-6: sc in all 24 st (24)
- Rnd 7: (sc in next 3 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times (30)
- Rnd 8: sc in all 30 st (30)
- In round 9 we are going to attach the wings to the body, flatten the wing to crochet through 2 stitches of the wings at once (photo 1-3).
- Rnd 9: sc in next 6 st, work through both a flattened wing and the body: sc in next 3 st, sc in next 12 st, work through both a flattened wing and the body: sc in next 3 st, sc in next 6 st (30)

- Rnd 10-11: sc in all 30 st (30)
- Embroider a beak with orange yarn between rounds 7 and 8. The beak is 2 stitches wide. Make sure it is placed in the middle of the body, between the wings. Embroider the eyes over round 7, between the eyes and beak are 2 stitches.

- Rnd 12: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times (24)
- Rnd 13: (sc in next 2 st, dec) repeat 6 times (18)
- Rnd 14: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 6 times (12)
- Stuff the body with fiberfilling
- Rnd 15: dec 6 times (6)
- Fasten off, leaving a yarn tail. Using your yarn needle, weave the yarn tail through the front loop of each remaining stitch and pull it tight to close. Weave in the yarn end.
Foot 2x:
- Use orange yarn
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Invisible fasten off
- Sew the feet on the body, about 4 rounds from the beak.
