Flower Daisy keychain and rattle
Learn how to crochet a very cute flower with this free flower crochet pattern. Additionally, this flower can be used for many purposes. For instance, you can make a cute flower baby rattle from it. Moreover, you could also create a cute keychain from it or sew it onto a hair tie.
For the smaller flower, I used sport weight cotton yarn, for the larger version, I used velvet Bulky plush yarn.

Materials:
These are the materials that I used for this flower You can replace them with other materials. If you wish to crochet a larger or smaller version of this flower , then you can just use a thicker or thinner yarn/crochet hook.
Cotton Sport Weight version / flower keychain 7 cm / 3 inch:
– Sport weight catania cotton
– Synthetic Poly Filling
– Crochet hook size 2.5 mm 4/0
Velvet Bulky version / flower rattle 10 cm / 4 inch:
– Bulky velvet yarn
– Synthetic Poly Filling
– Crochet hook size 3.5 mm

Supplies:
– Scissors
– Tapestry needles with blunt point, nr. 16 or 17
– Pins
TIP: Are you using are using Blanket yarn? Then I recommend a 8.0 mm crochet hook.
For Super Bulky Chenille yarn I recommend a 5.0 mm crochet hook.
Abbreviations used in this pattern:

Rnd: Round
st: stitch
sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dec: decrease
inc: increase
Free Flower Crochet Pattern
Petal:
- Use any color yarn you want
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
- Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12)
- Rnd 3-5: sc in all 12 st [12]
- Rnd 6: (sc in next st, dec) repeat 4 times [8]
- Slst in next st. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Flower Heart
- Use any color yarn you want
- Rnd 1: start 5 sc in a magic ring (5)
- Rnd 2: inc 5 times [10]
- Rnd 3: (sc, inc in next st) repeat 5 times [15]
- Rnd 4-6: sc in all 15 st [15]
- Rnd 7: (sc, dec in next st) repeat 5 times [10]
- If you want to make a flower rattle, put the rattle part in the heart before you crochet the last round.
- Rnd 8: dec 5 times [5]
- Stuff the flower heart with toy filling.
- First finish the flower heart by taking the last strand of yarn and sewing it through the front loops of every crochet stitch that you made in the last round. Then pull the yarn tight to close the hole. Now stick a needle under the hole and weave in the yarn end.
- Then sew the petals on round 5 of the flower heart. Each petal takes up 3 stitches.

- Use any color yarn you want
- Rnd 1: start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
