How to Crochet a Brooch

I am going to show you step by step how to crochet a brooch. Creating flowers is a huge joy of mine and sometimes I make a small collection of flowers which I like to turn into a brooch. At your request I have made a step by step Youtube tutorial to show you how you can turn your crochet flowers and leaves into a little brooch with a professional finish. This technique can be used to create as a gift, for a wedding as boutonniere or in remembrance.

To create my crochet brooch, I have used a collection of many of my Free Crochet Flower patterns to demonstrate this technique. This is a great idea to make for weddings, if you are making a crochet wedding bouquet why not make a matching crochet boutonniere for the special day. To ensure your brooch is not too big I would recommend making your crochet flowers in leaves in the smallest crochet hook and yarn that you can to keep your brooch small and wearable. I like to use between 1.25-1.75mm crochet hook with a mix of thread or fine yarns to create my small crochet flowers.

If you would like to watch my step by step tutorial, I have made a calming Youtube video below.
