Terms & Abbreviations

Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.

Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.

Treble Crochet(s): tr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

Free Crochet Pattern: Solid Hexagon Quarter

You are viewing this pattern in UK terms.

Ch 3, ss into third ch from hook to form a ring.

Row 1: 3 ch (counts as tr here and throughout), into ring work 2 tr, 1 ch, tr. Turn.
(4 tr, 1 ch sp.)

Row 2: 3 ch, tr in st at base of 3-ch, [tr, 1 ch, tr] in ch-sp, tr in last 3 sts. Turn.
(7 tr, 1 ch sp.)

Row 3: 3 ch, tr in st at base of 3-ch, tr in each st to ch sp, [tr, 1 ch, tr] in ch sp, tr in each st to end. Turn. (10 tr, 1 ch sp.)

Row 4: 3 ch, tr in st at base of 3-ch, tr in each st to ch sp, [tr, 1 ch, tr] in ch sp, tr in each st until 1 st rem, 2 tr in last st. Turn. (14 tr, 1 ch sp.)

Rep Rows 3 and 4 until desired size.

Fasten off and sew in ends.
