Who’s your Vest Friend? – tin can knits

It’s really been a year of over-the-top, matching knits around here. Everybody loved the lookalike Besties Hoodies I made for my daughter Hunter and her BFF Aziza. Now, I’m excited to share another new design that’s perfect for twinning: Vest Friends! Teaming up with my sisters-in-law Emily and Michelle, we made a pile of matching vests for our kiddos – all nine cousins.

Yep, you read that right… NINE!

We chose the brightest, happiest colours we could find and knit a little love in every stitch. Of course, we had to capture all the fun with some hilarious family photos.

These cuzzies won’t stay little forever, but they’ll always be the very vest of friends!

Bring a little lightness and brightness to those grey days

This project was all about JOY. It was an absolute delight to knit in these fun, bright colours during the grey days of a west coast autumn. And bold colours aren’t just fun to knit with – the kids were super excited to put them on, too!

To pick the perfect light, bright palette, we turned to some of our favourite dyers: Tanis Fiber Arts, Les Garçons, SweetGeorgia Yarns, and Frankie Grey Fibres.

We had the #VestTimeEver creating these little knits, channeling a bit of joy into bright, bold vests for our little (and not-so-little) ones. I mean, every kid needs a vest, right?

The Vest Friends pattern comes with:

✔️ Six yarn weights

📏 Sizing from newborn to adult 6XL
